
Dr Daniel Jones
Dr Daniel Jones is a Clinical Senior Lecturer of Clinical Trials in Cardiovascular Intervention based in the Barts CVCTU and Honorary Consultant in Interventional Cardiology Barts Heart Centre. His primary research interests are based around translational interventional clinical trials, having completing an MSc in clinical trial design. Other interests include the treatment of reperfusion injury, novel therapies for myocardial regeneration, the cost-effectiveness of cardiovascular therapies and the study of outcomes after percutaneous coronary intervention.
Dr Jones is entered into the GMC Specialist Register for Cardiology and General Internal Medicine. He is a member of the British Cardiovascular Society, Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society. He has published comprehensively within the Cardiology Literature throughout his career and has presented his work internationally at Cardiology Conferences.
Dr Jones is actively involved in teaching both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. His wide ranging training has enabled him to develop special interests within the broad field of Cardiology – his specialist interests include treating blockages in the heart arteries, specialising in the treatment of complex and calcified cases, treating damaged heart valves and managing patients with chest pain and normal coronary arteries.
